Forget the IASUS throat mikes. They are NOT very good at all. Get a Stinger boom mike. Pricey, but they rock.

I know you didn't want a ghillie cause you didn't want it to snag on anything but if you want camo this would be the best. A cape will break up your outline but it will still be a 2D object. I personnally think a big square of cadpat will stand out in nature.

I wanna be able to move fast. I'm hoping with a cape it won't be so squared that it sticks out. A Tracker Ghille is really good, but is meant for stalking more than scouting.


@Seaforth, I like the TT belt, but I saw some stuff on russian combat gear for way cheaper, and looks to be exactly what I need.

Shugart, were you looking at the sniper belt system? It looks alright, but does not look too configurable, and is bulky. With the TT belt, you can attach any PALS/MOLLE compatible pouches, including single mag shingles, and pistol mag shingles. You wear it undeedr your main webbing/vest what have you, and if you need to ditch that, you still have some carrying capacity for a recce, or E&E, what have you.
