Anyone who does get one should make up a review for the rest of us.

I found this review on it. Very good high-res pics. Extremely realistic. For example, "You could turn your gun on, load a mag and use the charging handle to load your first shot." It's one damn sexy rifle.
http://www.airsoftplayers.com/forum/...ID=7888 I am working on my own review of the gun, but for now this gives a pretty good description of what to expect. |

I'm too lazy to search google...is it compatible with any aftermarket internals?

I would really like to take her apart to see how she works. I'm wondering if KSC has good internals or not. If the gun is anything like their GBB's this gun must be pretty good!- i mean in terms of general build quality.

Lots of good pics, including internals, here: http://shed-o-love.com/images/airsoft/hk33k/
There isn't a lot of press on the gun, but in everything i've read I haven't heard a bad thing about it. |

ARRRRGH. Fucking SCHOOL, fucking not have t3hr MONeh!
Oh well, I suppose the upside is that it's obviously not a total piece of shit which could mean 2 things: 1 - It'll probably be around for a while and I'll get a chance to buy one ONE day. 2 - KSC might decide that it's a good idea to build MORE AEG's. I have my fingers crossed for this one. |

NO aftermarket internals are compatible with it
it differs from ver4, psg1 wasnt full auto, last time i checked its ver4 based, but if you actually compared the spring guide, tappet plate, gears, etc, they are different KSC has their proprietary hop up design, completely different from any other TM AEG hop; so tightbores will have to be made for it; only one available now is 6.05 a quick look around any retailer will show you that there are only OEM parts available so I would not upgrade it past ~330~340 fps |

PSGs can go full auto, the trigger mechanism just wasn't designed for it. Nothing mechanical stopping full auto, though.

Proprietary mags are kinda a turn off, too. Personally, if one's not too caught up on the whole springer/AEG hybrid, I figure it's only a matter of time before CA comes out with a CA33K.

The metal on a CA is not nearly as nice as the metal KSC uses on the HK33K's. I think the mag thing is about realism, the mags feel exactly like the real steel mag would feel, same type of metal, same operation to put them in and take them out of the gun as the real HK's.
The only issues I am aware of is that the guns need to be properly shimmed before using them. If this is not done then it can result in the gears being stripped. Although, it is yet to be seen whether the current production has these problems. |

ive handled both CA HK33 and KSC HK33 and there really isnt too much difference in metals
CA one was full stocked, so it was heftier both these guns are EXTREMELY solid KSC mags are definitely nicer, looks like stamped metal but then again, they are more expensive and they are lacking hicaps only 80 rounder locaps for everyone not very good space usage for their locaps eithe; a few more loops would easily allow it to carry more ammo i just ripped apart the mech and its pretty different from a TM one btw..STOCK GUNS WILL NEED TO BE SHIMMED the uh..lowermost gear that meshes with the motor (bevel?) has, in my friend's case, a 0.2mm gap that might cause gear strippage shimming is a breeze, but there are definitely parts of working on the hk33 that i hate pics and updates to come...eventually i need to get off my ass and upload em when im not lazy |

all righty
first things off, looking through the mechbox, I can say with almost 100% certainty that, contrary to what gunmaster said, aftermarket stuff for TM guns will not fit, for the simple reason of design differences I havent compared motors, but they looks similar and I wouldnt be surprised if they are swappable the gun comes apart with 3 push-pins, similar to any HK type and instead of torx screws like TM, everything is held together with hexagonal screws The mechbox consists of 3 main areas : gearbox, piston/cylinder/spring assembly and the electrical bits (the black box) http://www.pbase.com/shinjinmc02/image/58362551 motor is not attached to the mechbox unlike marui guns and has to be removed from the bottom grip prior to mechbox removal "gearbox" http://www.pbase.com/shinjinmc02/image/58362552 odds & ends from mechbox, the big metal chunk on top is part of the beefy piston/spring/cylinder assembly http://www.pbase.com/shinjinmc02/image/58362553 stock spring comparisons;KSC top, TM bottom; as you can see, marui springs will not fit and the spring guide is much larger on KSC http://www.pbase.com/shinjinmc02/image/58362555 the stock KSC HK33 is quite underpowered; it only cranks about 270-280 fps, and in the field-test, it was outranged by almost every gun I have since done a simple modification by adding 3 coils of a stock marui spring into the spring guide, seperated by a washer washer is pretty important as the stock spring guide is quite firmly attached to the spring, so all the torque formed by a coiling spring will stress the internals further; the washer lets it rotate and takes off some of the stresses after that simple modification (took about 30 mins with only hand-tools) the gun shoots at about 300 and has a very nice, very straight trajectory to about 120 feet or so; longer ranged tests are not possible at the moment lots more pics i uploaded, but ill get around to descrbing the rest some other time btw, click on originals on the links for the larger pics another observation - there is a 41 ohm resistor on the electrical portion of the gun...not sure whats up with that, but I plan to do a bit more testing while I still have the gun my friend killed the motor by dropping a screw into the mechanism and I am currently in posession the gun while I dig up a new motor.heh. |
