FN made the 5-7 to work with the P90 cause they both use the SS190 5.7mm round. they are also 2 verisons of the gun the BSG and the USM the difference is the looks of the 2 guns.
god i thought that me reading SWAT monthly would never come in handy here. |

It's not much, but there is a springer airsoft Five-seveN pistol. It's called the M-86. It's made by the Chinese Toy Company FEI XIANG (its the Five-seveN USG, not the Tactical IOM with the distinctive trigger guard as seen on Battlestar Galactica). A chap on my forum managed to get his hands on one and posted these pics:
http://i10.tinypic.com/2mx06dg.jpg - "FN" on handgrip http://i10.tinypic.com/4h8yzdk.jpg - you can makeout the 5.7x28mm on the excraction port http://i10.tinypic.com/44q8aye.jpg - the logo and "NO:8603" Unfortunately, he bought it from an individual (who didn't say where he bought it) and I've not been able to find a retailer as yet. Cheers- -LT |

You mean the Sig Saucer 266 correct?

No, he means the Fabrique National Five-SeveN. It's a pistol chambered in a unique caliber (5.7x28mm) that's said to be able to pierce kevlar fairly easily. The ever-popular P90 submachine also uses the same bullet.
I've never heard of a Sig Saucer 266.... Sounds an awful lot like a Sig Sauer P226, but with all the firearms companies out there these days, maybe it's a Chinese copy or something. |

Reference to video in that thread, not reference to chinese knock off. Unfortunately, the video has disappeared. |

Glad there were a couple of references to Galactica - that's definitely where my head's at where that's concerned.

Good lord, I think the only thing missing on that pistol is a toilet paper dispenser and kitchen sink. Shameful.

There are in fact three models of the five seven. The model you are reffering to as the USM, is infact the USG, so named, because it was specifically designed by FN with direct input from, and designed for, the US Secret Service. Incidentally, the USSS is now primarily using the five seven and the a P90 variant, because of the compactness, accuracy, and ammunition compatibility.

Which is kinda funny considering how critical it is for them to put the guy down FAST.
