Who did you buy it from? I have a Phantom OD CIRAS and the plates are removable. Look for velcro attachments where mesh meets cordura.

Bingo. Looks like I hadn't looked long enough for it. All these negatives are turning out to be positive suddenly. The mag lips are also found to be adjustable, so that's also no longer a negative. All in all, this rig is turning into one with surprises.

I just got one of these as well, and Im fairly impressed with the quality.
After I spent ALOT of time making adjustments I got myself a nice fit.
The soft armour on mine slid right out after unvelcroed however and wasn't sewn into the panels.
I found the soft armour to be really to thick for the rig. After I took them out I cut one right through the middle and reinserted it into front and back. The rig has more then enough for support now and isnt to thick.

Thanks for the tip Contempt/Point_Man. The rigs got so many things to adjust that I've probably missed a lot of areas that can adjust etc. I'm also still confused as to what to do with the internal cummerbund myself.

I have the internal cummerbund around my lower torso when wearing the vest. I have it fit firmly. Anyway, I believe it's to keep the vest from rising when running or jumping with the weight that it's carrying. Keeps everything in place; acting like a pistol belt.

Got it today ! Review is the same as Shinjit noir ! Really good vest as far as I know... haven't try it on the field... but you can configure the way you want ! Viva MOLLE !

You can put two mags per mag pouch M4/M16 without mag pulls. You ok only with the mags.

It fits with magpulls but it is a little snug. I found it easy to pull a single mag out but a little more difficult to put one in. If you plan to use a mag dump pouch, this would not be an issue. Out of all the pouches I've ever come across, I've liked the Eagle style the best. I wish they made them in Cadpat. I'm switching all the pouches on the vest to Cadpat and have to comprimise.

i recieved my ciras yesterday and as everyone has been saying, it's bloody awesome! putting mags in is a bit of a pain but getting them out is no problem at all so a dump pouch of some sort is a must. adjust it can be a bit tricky, what i did was pulled the release cord and re-adjusted it from scratch so i sort of know how everything went, i don't think it's exactly the same as in your pic shinj but it's tight and doesn't fall apart at all, plus itfits me very snugly! all in all a great vest! get one now!

Do you have to pull the rip cord to adjust the whole thing? I got one today and I am still trying to figure out how to adjust it...

On the lower back of the vest there is a pannel that secured by velcro and a snap button. Open this up. You'll see that there's one cable that runs through a looped piece of string. Every adjustable part on the vest (shoulder straps, internal cummerbund, outer cummerbund etc) runs through here. To adjust, pull the cable out of the looped string and then pull the adjustable straps off the string. There's a series of grommets for sizing....select the one you want. When you're done, the looped string should be secured again by the cable. Might take a few times to get the right fit. Hope that helps and wasn't too convoluted.
