As far as I can tell, all are CNC machined, finishes on them are all pretty much the same with the Guarder one being the best, followed by VFC. VFC has the faintest trademarks, G&G the strongest, although G&G's trademarks are their own, rather than replica. King Arms looks okay, easily visible, although with a strange outline around it. The G&P one looks... fine. Nothing special about it, good amount of visibility, fairly clean lines. The Guarder one looks the cleanest.
Regarding mounting mechanisms, the VFC one doesn't mount similar to any real steel manuals I've found. All other brands mount similar to real steel. VFC and G&P mounts are also a lighter grey colour whereas all other brands have a darker/blacker shade to them. |

From what I understand, KAC has moved from Vero Beach to Titusville and is no longer manufactureing at Vero Beach.
http://www.knightarmco.com/index1.html Check the left side of the page where is says Latest news. I had an actual KAC M14 RAS on my Real Steel M14 and it was marked "Vero Beach". The real ones are quite hard to find here in Canada & are QUITE pricey ($525.00 U.S!!!! ), so I haven't seen any new ones to check the markings. SKBY.

They're both made of the same materials. The Guarder finishing and build quality is a bit nicer and a bit more realistic, but it doesn't affect the durability in any way. Does it justify the extra cost? That's a personal opinion. For me, I preferred the extra quality over the King Arms one.
That Guarder RAS unit is the closest to real steel that I have seen so far. |
