I wrote an inquiry to them to see what it was like, and I just received this polite yet fairly 'Chenglish-y' reply.
JIA DYi CO., to ginny, me More options Dec 18 (19 hours ago) Dear Nate: Thanks for your inquiry on Hi-Capa WE 3.8 Blowback Almost parts of 3.8 are metal, as you can see only the grip are made by plastic same as Marui's. If you have tried their 5.1. the predecessor version, then you can find out the difference and advantage of 3.8 A replica of Marui Hi-Capa 4.3 with ABS gun grip as well as manual fuse on both left and right side Almost the inner parts are metal ( Alumin). Length of outter barrel is about 9.5cm. Surface design also looks like Colt commandar but more delicate. The design of slide is similar to Colt one, but with more smooth arc on the back side. Both side of slide go with twilled groove design, which makes it more smooth when operate the slide Lower receiver has a fantastic change as well. With refinement of the rail makes it finally available to add more tactical accessories Shorten the length of grip and magazine so make this pistol more easy of control. Conclusion Totally reduce the lenght and measurement on 3.8 version Reduce the weights on slide as well as the whole body Refinement on surface looking Enhance the sight as well as add the tactical fuction, which enable to install the combat light and laser set on this Hi-capa! Can use 22kgs high-pressure gas as well as co2 steel cylinder ( Very realistic! The recoil is just like a real gun!) Magizine entrance with bevel design, so BB bullets are no more jammed when feeding . Best regards, Cherry - Show quoted text - |

I was looking at this gun here, looks nice. Does anyone actually have one or seen one?
I was wondering on what your impressions of it visually were. What’s the quality of the metal in terms of looks? I was also wondering what markings are on it that might not be able to see in the picture. The other WE pistol I’ve see had big “Cal.45” or something similar on the side of the slide. Does this one have that or something similar? Also are there any trademarks or little writing any were else on it. Thanks. |

Considering they haven't really been released yet, and no supplier in Canada has any on hand (DEA's doing a group-order soon, at least), I don't think anyone has/has seen one.
Yet. |

OK, I just received 2 more E-Mails from the people. They didn't have real significance to the gun, but were friendly and had another picture on the bottom, which answers one of Vreheid's questions.

Bob is correct. Also, the 3.8 actually has two models available. They have two distinct looks. They have a 3.8A and a 3.8B model. I have larger pics I can post up here for you, however, I will not be able to do that until maybe tomorrow. I have sent the full line of larger pics to a couple of the guys that have already put their name down for the group order. I will get them up here for you as soon as I can.

OK, they just mailed me back with a question, and since they've told me so much it's only fair to ask this for them:
What improvements do you think should be done with the Hi-Capas? I'll send these back, they said they'd work on them and correct them in the next release. |

A stop notch or what ever you call it on the lower accesory rail and a stronger recoil spring
