Looks like you will also have to replace the ARL...

They are usually made like this, and shouldn't interfere:



Notice how it's much smaller where yours touches the gear.

here is my hypothesis:
the hole for anti-reversal is too tight. do you have another gearbox to test it on? if not put it in the same gearbox without other gears and see how easy it is to move it. try with and without the spring.

that's one really beefy anti reversal latch shaft. Just grind it down until the 2 clear each other. Should solve your problem immediately
