I spend half my games waiting for you to come back from fixing that POS. lol

It's odd that it works fine and then deteriorates quickly once you put a couple of mags through it.

I'm probably way off here, but is your motor pinion gear loose at all?
.......grasping at straws here

going to say at this point the pinion is not on the motor correctly or there's something wrong with the motor, maybe the pinion is loose on the shaft and is free spinning or something in the armature is fucked.

When you were trying to shoot it on semi, was it cutting off and stopping if you held the trigger? Or did it just keep running?
You didn't have a picture of it but I'm assuming you checked the teeth on the underside of the sector gear, correct?

Both of those mentioned above are really the only 2 options left

Acted normal before it died.
Pinion on motor is fine (d shape shaft).
Motor has tons of torque.
Going to check the gears again

Is there any sign that the wiring is breaking loose and retarding the gears and/ or piston?

check to see if the pinion is still FIRMLY attached. the hex screw loosens off on them pretty easily if you don't loctite them.

Wouldn't matter, a D-type pinion would not rotate freely even without the set screw.
I'm also certain that chaz would have noticed a loose pinion from the shaft...

The gun works perfectly fine until he puts a few mags through it and then it whines like the motor is backed out too far. The motor height apparently is not the issue though.

Pinion has already been loctited.
No signs of wires fowling the gears.

Steve will be getting the gun as soon as my gears come in.
At this point I have no clue and just want it fixed and running again. I am fixing it more then I am playing.

Oh paintball guns never had these issues (Flame on lol)

Maybe the Krylon fumes from the paint job have infused into the electronics.

And this kids, is why you buy 8 or 9 guns.

So when half of them are broken, the other half work.

No, THIS is why there is no need 90% of the time to screw around with a stock gun from a top tier manufacturer.

Quality guns these days are just fine for gaming, this isn't 2003 and all we can get are TM guns with shitty gears and low springs.

@Chaz: Try putting all the stock parts back in, and then replacing them one at a time with your upgraded parts. Time consuming, but if one part is causing this that will tell you.
