What is your experience with VFC M4's?

Does Anyone have any exprenice with the VFC Sopmod ? I've been looking at getting one or A Scar L when they are back in stock. I've heard nothing but good things about each. Any recommedations?

All VFC AEG internals are the same with the exception of the cylinder and various wiring configurations.

E-series have cheaper rail systems, and VFC trademarks.

the rubber pad on the stock cylinder head doesn't come off easily if you are installing sorbo.. I mauled 1 cylinder head trying to remove the rubber.

Aside from that the factory aoe is not terrible.

The ambidextrous fire selector of VFC SCAR is a huge pain in the ass to install.
If you want to MOSFET it... Another pain in the ass.
Other than that, great.

They are also the best guns for dropping a PolarStar into.

I just glue the sorbo to the rubber pad, it's all good.

For the VFC Scar I put a Picco mosfet in the cavity just behind the rear of the gearbox. The ambi is also a little bit of a pain but you can get pretty good at putting it back in.

gluing the sorbo to the rubber pad in the vfc is not correcting the aoe. You're just getting partial benefit.

proper aoe correction also involves spacing the piston rack at full forward with the spring in to meet the pickup tooth at the angle in which the most surface area of the 2 meet. Putting a sorbo on top of the rubber pad moves this far from where it needs to be and can wear your pickup tooth on the piston faster, or at worse, cut right through it or snap the first tooth off the sector.

Of course. it's interesting to note however that in my experience with several VFC guns gluing the sorbo directly to the pad and using a lonex piston produced a great AOE when staging with the spring. I have used several of these rifles over the years frequently with no ill effects of wear on the lonex piston.
