no. the gun was built to work with co2. i find that with the strength of the recoil and hammer springs it works best with co2.

No. The Co2 mag from WE have a regulater installed. It will be reduce the co2 pressure to around 12kg propane.

maybe we (the skunkworx team) should call ourselves "canadian airsoft" collectively we have something like 100 guns or so (no cheapies though, unless you count 2 utg shotguns). i have 12 and sometimes i feel like i simply have nothing to shoot. airsoft is as much fashion as function. you can't tell me a 3-9 x 40 lit reticle scope has any use for a gun that shoots 100 feet accurately, but it's all for looks (fashion). and no i don't work for canadian airsoft, but where do you think all those guns come from? and gun whores would be tool whores or dvd whores or something if there wasn't this to spend money on.

Don't get a WE Hicapa. I shot one yesterday and an overflowing mag filled with propane couldn't even shoot a full mag of BB's. I got about 1/2 of the BB's outta a full fill of gas. I couln't beleive it and tryed it again by letting the mag cool down, but i still only got about 2/3 of the BB's out. This and it cycle'd pretty slow. This was the first version though and i'm not sure how these gun's perform off CO2, and don't want to know because i think 350+ fps is way to hot for a pistol.

That's pretty bad. I just tested with one of my Hi-Capas... filled up a mag with just gas, no BBs and pulled the trigger as fast as I could and got off 123 shots before it stopped. No reduction in ROF either.

That was with a high flow valve as well and the gun is tuned to shoot as high as 345fps

when it's warm out and i avoid rapid fire (like trying to empty a mag in 3 seconds) i get a mag and a half on green and 3 shots short of 2 mags with co2. in the cold with the high flow valve they use i don't get a full mag. but then again i don't with my stock ksc usp compact either, but i do with my glock.

compared to what?

depends on what you're looking for.

I'm sure their QA could use a bit of work, but generally, I wouldn't say it's a garbage purchase. There are general accuracy issues... the gas issue mentioned above is probably sporadic and limited to individual units.

For what you get, if you get a properly functioning unit, it's serious bang for your buck.

But if you want guaranteed performance and can spend the little bit extra, get a Marui.
