okay here's the update, i opened the gearbox and found that there was a ton of black shit on the trigger contacts. i cleaned it and it looks like some has eroded away... it works most of the time now but now the gear box just spins and doesn't catch the piston. im gonna give it another go tonight.

The black is carbon, and it used to be the metal of your trigger contacts. You need new contacts and a mosfet.

Some are, and some aren't easy to install. Contact Stealth from AirsoftStore and he will tell you a lot about mosfet, and he will suggest the best one for you. He has a few models in stock too

http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=140087 You can either message him on here or give them a call. The guys at airsoft store are great to deal with and should be able to get you exactly what you need.

The the ARL (anti reversal latch). You may have it on facing the wrong way.

^that. Or the spring for the ARL isnt on or on correctly.
Also if you changed gears the ARL could not mesh well with the bevel gear (my gun now does that using the stock echo1 arl with lonex gears but i dont care cause i only use semi anyhow.

You're going to want to learn to comfortably disassemble/reassemble the mechbox first before diving into FETs, wiring, testing, etc.

First step is to get a new set of trigger contacts, then address your other functional problems, if any (ARL, motor, etc.), then step into a FET. The best upgrade approach is to always upgrade or change one thing at a time so you isolate variables. I feel like you're trying to address everything in 1 shot - which is an honourable effort but unless you're an experienced gunsmith using parts you use all the time, it almost never comes together the first time.

Also NEW ISSUE, only works when i press the trigger hard. gonna try again tonight and also i need a new bucking, can anyone give me a tip or direct me to an existing page for that?
