Could also just be that the sear from.the parts gun was alrdy worn out.
So what brand is the gun u have and what brand is the parts gun. U may be better building on the other gun depending what they are

The piston was too big for the cylinder. I had to take material off the delrin rings on the piston, then the metal end was touching the inside of the cylinder and digging in. Took some material off the metal end, but it's still digging in and causing the piston to slip over the sear. Back into the closet it goes. Done modifying guns. Seems to cause more problems than it solves.

I think cause you took material off the metal end is why its slippin off that or the ringz inside the reciver are holding the whole bolt assembly too high off the sears for them to catch right. Modding a bolt action is actually prety str8frward the issue is the base gun you started with is just too far outta spec from a tm for the parts to work

The piston was binding in the cylinder because it was too big. Filed it down and now it seems to be riding on the delrin rather than the metal. Friend took his trigger group home, but will bring it back tomorrow.
