I don't have one in my hands but here's how those cam lever setups work in general.

The lever throw works on a cam that either pulls or pushes the actuating rod(up and down in this case). The silver block is the piece that it moves in the end and puts pressure on things...it is carried up or down (the spring is pushing it down). The nut will move that silver block up or down on the actuating rod...essentially setting it's gross position.

If you can't turn that nut anymore (screwing it in, clockwise, to raise the gross position of the block higher)...then you've hit the end of the threads on the actuating rod. I'd see two options then...1) put some washers/spacers in between the nut and the block...or 2) thread more of the rod.

I'd do the first option...back the nut right off, put in some split washers, screw the nut back on and adjust to tightness.

Hmm, so the lever is supposed to be making things move up and down, but it isn't?

That would be my take on it (sorry...I'm only going off the pics).

In the bottom pic of ColTicker's post you see that the screw is actually threaded into the body of the housing....so when the lever is moved around it's actually screwing the whole thing up and down.

That does not appear to be be the same with yours. So you've got the gross adjustment by use of the nut from the bottom....but no fine/final lockdown with the lever.

I will go home this weekend and check mine again to see how it works exactly, but I think the adjustment area is broken on yours. Either the lever, or the screw at the bottom.

As Amos already asked, is this a clone? or a real steel one? I got 2 from Belarus and their quality looks much better than what I see in your pictures.

This is whatever clone scope comes packaged with the gun overseas. I bought it from UNCompany. So I bet it's ACM or some other low quality brand.

Got it. So it turns out that the paint was simply too thick...a little tapping on the scope made it slide right it. The lock wasn't engaging because it never got close enough.

ya when we looked at it. it looks like that the measurements when manufacturing were taken off the real gun with the paint on it, so when the paint was added to the raw metal it threw off the tolerances.
