Yeah, I know. The gear itself I feel is very reasonably priced, considering the features and quality of construction. I also added the optional elbow & knee pads and they added $73 USD to the bill on their own.

Freight, using UPS, was only $13 USD, at least that's what Crye billed me. Unfortunately UPS raped my on customs. GST was $35.76, no duty or the like, and brokerage fee was $56.95 8O , could I have some lube with that please? If I had gone with snail mail, I'm sure it would have been $50 or so, freight & tax, but the downside is I'd be waiting a few weeks, and I'd already waited 6 months. I'm a very patient man, but...

By far one of the best designed BDU's out there. The pants even have a zippered "poop shoot". Zipper starts on the front left by the fly and runs down, under your left leg and up and over your butt. For those who can drop their drawers on the feild! Or for shopping as certain surplus shops.

Going to wear them at a game this week end. Willing to do a review if anyone wants.
Nice shots Darklen - thanks. Way to show some leg in one of them too!

Hey, wait,...is that blood running down the inside of your leg? OMG what happ....OH RIGHT - UPS did your brokerage. Fuck they must have LOVED those pants eh? One zip and they can huff away...

Personally I think that feature came from a courrier baseline requirement.

When I got my Crye combat pants, customs had them labelled as "swimwear". Hmm...

I just got off the phone with Gregg at Crye Precision. Crye armour is currently not available to civilians. He said that there may be an opportunity in the future to release them to the public, but at this time... only military/LE applications.

I've suddenly become a Corporal in the Canadian Forces and am being shipped out to Afghanistan...

I am looking for a more immediate supply of Multicam - I think I've found one... If it works out I will pass on the contact...

I wonder if they will supply any to the film industry, without the armor plates of course.

Why a real soldier would want to wear multicam when it's not his real uniform?
How does it work anyway? I assumed you could not wear non issued uniforms.

About the cry armor, maybe they don't sell the actual plates to civilian, but maybe if you hask them the sizes and specks of the plates, you can make them yourself and buy the empty armor shell. The actual plates must cost all your familly to aquire anyway.
