Here's the pics:
My two "true" multicam multicam 2 piece MAVs: Front (Left is using a ATS molle thigh rig, right is using a TT molle thigh rig): Back (Left is using a ATS molle thigh rig, right is using a TT molle thigh rig): "Inside" of the one using the ATS molle thigh rig: How the ATS molle thigh rig attaches to the yoke: "Inside" of the one using the TT molle thigh rig: How the TT molle thigh rig attaches to the yoke: You only have to remove the ATS molle thigh rig leg straps and use the two existing belt attachments to attach onto the yoke. For the TT molle thigh rig, you must remove the leg straps and the belt attachments and use 550 to attach it onto the yoke. If you keep the belt attachments on there, you'd have to attach it higher on the yoke and eliminate the use of the molle webbing. Yes, again, that is true multicam on multicam. |

This is my setup
Left to Right: Drop zone vertical GP/Utility pouch 3x - HSGI Double stack Taco Pouch Drop zone Rattle resistor being used as my radio pouch Blue Force Gear Trauma Now, Large Trauma sheers behind the pouch on the Molle Inova Rescue light on the shoulder strap held in place with rigger's bands +Contents of IFAK displayed I wear a Camelback for hydration, I tried the X Harness and it just didn't allow me to wear the rig the way I like it worn which is higher up on the chest almost like a CHICOM and it was a pain in the ass to get into. I've read that the split MAV is easier to get into but I don't have any problems getting into the one piece. I took the Strap keep off the shoulder harness so it goes on exactly like my old Eagle CHICOM. The rig is easy to put on after i removed that black clip the holds the 2 should straps together, and i'm a relatively small guy 5"5 140lbs. Going prone isn't a problem and is comfortable

Do any of you guys run molle belt/blast belt with your mav?
If so how do you like it? |
|

I run just a kydex pistol on my MAV setup. I"m in the process of finding a new radio pouch so I can mount my pistol mags back onto the rig.
I'm on the fence with the battle belt. What are you going to be putting on the belt load? |

2 pistol mags, pistol in kydex holster, move my dump pouch there. Not sure what else

Keep the belt load light. That should be a good setup with just a regular riggers belt. I'm running a pistol and 2 mags on kydex on my belt load right now.
I've seen guys just load down every strap of pals webbing they have on their body. |

+1 on lightness... IMO you don't need a MOLLE assault/blast belt to run the stuff you want on it. I've seen very sweet setups where guys would run EVERYTHING on blast belts. They sure can take, and pack, a punch when setup correctly.
