just posing a question....but once again the ASC critics jump in,,, and take everything out of context....
There have been umpteen threads questioning the type of player that should play the role of sniper, the gear.... and many many stating that this is not a great role for new players....so...take it as you will.....

1. How can being an a hole be taken out of context? Deleting your dickish comments only proves that you are aware you should have just not even posted, don't try to pass this off as everyone hanging up on you, when you're the troll.

Also, being around for 3 years doesn't give you the right to wail on people who have been on here for 2 years; compared to a lot of players in the community, you're just a much a newbie.

Now be gone, grownups are talking.

2. On the topic of pistol holsters, I second the notion of belt mounting vs drop leg. I cut a slit in the bottom of my ghille top so I could access my belt holster and it really speeds up draw time.

Well what you need to understand is that this is my 3rd season now. My play style is already sniper-ish, i stay kida far away, concealed, on semi auto and i pick my shots... My big problem is that i have a cqb m4 that is not accurate at all and shoots under 300 fps. I have no reach, no accuracy. I need to switch ti sniper because my current play style just dont fit with my current equipment.

I agree a total newbie shouldn't starting as a sniper. But i've been doing this long enough to know what role suits me best.

A ghillie suit is great, but hot. Find one with a light base material. Drywick worn underneath helps alot. A simple combat webbing or mesh combat vest works well here to. That way you can have a water bladder. It's important to stay hydrated obviously. Some webbing comes with pouches pre-attached, but the mesh vest may have Molle straps, so you can decide where to put your pouches. I like the utility belt idea, but lose the drop leg. Dump pouches are uncomfortable to lay on, and you may get your pistol dirty going prone alot. Ghillie's do make it harder to access your pouches and things though. Also expect your eyewear to fog up more in the head piece. Just my thoughts.

I understand. Had you looked at more of a DMR role? You can run with more conventional gear and still be stealthy. Or like KImbo and others have stated, run light with a ghillie and keep everything on a belt. Preferably on the sides for easy access and so you aren't crawling on your hard gear.....

good luck with things.....
