For normal stock AEG's up to 350 FPS. I have used clone scopes, real steel scopes, clone red dots and real steel red dots. They ALL didn't work like I thought they should, I have found Airsoft is not a precision game. ( well maybe at 50 ' ) the power to each BB is different on almost every shot, it's a movement game, I never engage at more than 100 ' 90 % of the time I am shooting from the hip running and adjusting my fire on the move, taking out people 75 -100 feet away standing still aiming thru a scope, they have no idea where their BB's are going but they still think they hit you. I don't carry an optic anymore, its just more weight,I got 4 that just sitting in the closet, iron sites and a bright flashlight is all you need. The Flashlight is just wicked at CQB Put the light on target and shoot, you can adjust quickly without taking your eyes off target, the BB's ride the light beam. So save some $ and get a good compact 4X binocular for outdoor and bright flashlight for CQB. If you are stuck on scopes for the BLING, you are wasting your hard earned $$$ as Bling won't get you a hit ,but it might get you a date with your fellow airsofter who likes your pretty scope LOL. ( Hope it a girl ) It really depends on your style of play if you run and gun or are a bunker noob a scope won't help, But if you like lying still for 2 hours in a puddle having bugs crawling all over you ...a scope will help . My 3 cents if you are using a more powerful gun( Sniper rifle ) + 450 FPS Optic's become more usefull but results will still vary. |
