It takes very little oil to lubricate an entire tank of propane. I calculate:

tank capacity: 465g
gas used per 1x TM Hicapa mag fill including overflow loss: 8g
total mags filled from one can = 465g / 8g =58 mags

at two drops per 10x mags: 12 drops per can

Whatever you do, do not inject large quantities of air into your tank. Purge your device with propane before using it to displace the 20% fraction of oxygen in air before pushing bubbles of air into your tank.

Be advised that there is no lifecycle data on propane valve sealing surfaces with direct exposure to silicone oil. If your tank valves should leak you could vent an entire tank slowly. Store your tanks outside in a ventilated area.

I would heed Carl's advise on the matter very strictly. He's done more experimenting and calculating than you could imagine. Something that appears to 'work' for you isn't always the correct, proper or safe way to do things. Well I could take a strong stance dissuading anyone from injection lubricant into propane bottles, but I get the feeling that once someone has made their contraption it may be difficult to convince them to not use it. In this situation I don't make their operation of their device any safer by withholding information, and instead stress the danger in their activities.

I did want to productize my idea, but I could conceive of too many ways that the device could be misused in a dangerous manner so the prototypes and a short machine run got buried in my pallet rack of abandoned projects. I'd like to adopt the stance that if one is stupid and hurts themselves by ignoring the users manual, but the actions of the irresponsible can sometimes put responsible people at risk. For instance, a failed tank can hurt the family of the particular individual who lubricated a tank. I also found that users often exercise poor discipline in tank marking procedures. Personally I lube a tank for my grenades and a separate tank for my GBBs (different lube, different dosage). I mark my tanks so I don't shoot the wrong crap into my pistols, and more importantly SO I DON'T USE THE TANK WITH A TORCH TO SOLDER SOME PLUMBING. I do not know what the health issues are with inhaling the products of silicone oil combustion so I take some care in making sure my lubed tanks are marked and segregated from my combustion fuel supply.

I think you should power your GBB pistols with oxygen instead of propane. And use oil instead of silicone. And inject it right into the tank as well!
It will definitely solve all your problems.
And everyone around you.
And quite possibly your neighbors as well.

TNL,, I would use a seperate station for filling your propane and keep it far away from whatever lab setup you got over there, so WHEN you do blow yourself up it won't look like a meth lab explosion and atleast you can die with some hilarity rather than dishonour
