i have to agree, unless someone is willing to actually provide proof to support the claims it's not going to be worth much (it is used..)

it would really need to have some powerful history to also significantly increase it's value (i.e. it's been in a 'major battle' and/or was used by someone of note)

You'd have better luck selling it on eBay to some Japanese or Hong Kong gear collector than here.

Lol im not trying to sell it here. Merely trying to get advice from people like me who are obsessed with the military of what that could fetch on like craigslist or ebay. I personally love the jacket and I have a set of DCU's to match but his father had a smaller frame than me and it will always be a bit snug. So I figure with its history of who owned it maybe I could make decent money. Ill probably just keep it as a collectors item of my own.

Look if there aren't Photo's of the Jacket (or the offered trades) I'm gonna lock this thread.
greenknightscaptain make or find pics of your 1337 jacket and we'll tell you what its real value is in a Canadian Market in Canadian Dollars.

again I am not trying to sell it here or in the canadian market. if I was it would be posted in the buy sell threads! So do what you will admin lock the thread all I did was ask for advice of what a jacket was worth. If you want to have your power trip and lock it out be my guest. It is not my fault people decided to joke about a bidding war for the jacket.

without a picture any value we give is worthless..

would anyone buy anything like this (used) without pictures?
no is the answer you're looking for.

your answer, without pictures, is $1 (what might be paid for a second hand jacket that no-one has seen)

and talking back to the mods like that will get you kicked off.

I am not afraid to get kicked off the forums. Oh well. I don't believe any mod or admin should have that much power. It was a discussion and because he was in a bad mood apparantly he threatens to shut down the thread. It's not like I posted the thread saying hey guys buy this jacket. I said how much is it worth. I didn't have any mods or admins mad when I posted asking how much a used blackhawk! tac vest was worth. I'd really appreciate some serious responses and I would really appreciate it if smartasses and people who have nothing better to do but threaten others with thier power to not respond. If thats too much to ask kick me off your forum.

See ya later GKC. we were not joking about the value of the jacket... but we were making fun of you a bit.. in our subtle Canadian way.

the jacket is worthless.. and the fact that you are really fishing to dupe someone into overpaying for a used jacket is what we find funny.

look try to make fun of me all you want that is really ok with me. I dont care if that makes you guys feel awesome then go for it. I see a bunch of guys who love the military and they know every acronym and weapon and piece of gear and I say hey why not ask them what they would sell it for because I really dont know. What I do not appreciate is mods/admins acting like im doing somthing wrong. Im not....and yes, goodbye. my time is short

Below is the Gore-Tex Rain Shells

Above is the Rain Jacket reversed. The night grid camo is not Gore-Tex, it's nylon. But, you will be dry due to the Gore-Tex shell. Reversible
Gore-Tex® Jackets

Small to X-Large / Long $188.00

Now the night grid camo was developed to defeat the Russian early Gen NVG's it's NFG now except as a fashion FauxPas. I had one of these here for a while one of the guys had a hardon for the grid pattern. it was small as well so the price was considserably less that what these are listed at.

$20.00 on eBay seems pretty normal.

For someone building a GW1 setup as a SF chap it would be a must have, otherwise it's best to wear in the bar an tell tales with.
