yes it is for an M16 all parts labeled with M16 for internals will work except some of those new tokyo marui m4 parts. The A2 refers only to the externals for airsoft

ok so my choices are narrowed down to 2 guns. G&G M16A3 or the ICS 143 A3 RAS. Which should i ultimately get?

better all around. I have a G&G R4 commando and have used a ICS gun and both were very similar. Except i spent $200 on my internals to get them good ICS are already good. If you have the money Get ICS

oh dang ya get a full metal ICS not the Clearsoft version
