kiss is too high to be carrying that type of weight around
it's better and easier for the gunners to hump the weight around the waist i seen a few guys in other platoons actually bring their webgear and wear that for the c9 and c6 and well, it makes sense for them to do that. |

Alright I think I have the rig setup down.
I have the Woosatch currently with the plates in it. From what I've read though this isn't kosher and plates are only suppose to be in the flak vest. I'll probably end up removing the plates and adjusting the vest to ride lower. Kit List HSGI Woosatch A Khaki Flyye Frag Pouch Khaki Flyye Small Util Pouch Khaki Flyye First Aid Pouch Khaki Specialty Defense 200rd. Saw Pouch Coyote Brown x2 Eagle Industries 200rd. Saw Pouch Khaki (I am doubting this is a real EI pouch; no EI marking on tag, color slightly off, no single pull attachment for flaps, etc.) Also pictured is a camelbak slip cover I made. Has worked pretty well, clearly not the same issued item, but not bad for a arm sleeve. Things I still need to do 1. Finish helmet cover 2. Add velcro to Combats blouse I was wondering what was the usual carry in an IFAK. I was planning on getting this and putting it into the pouch I currently have. http://wardenssupplyco.com/cart/inde...roducts_id=631 Comments, suggestions, etc. |

When you get in theatre you are given Isreali Dressings, Quick Clot and a CAT tourniquet, in addition to that you also have the standard Field Dressings given out back in Canada. Overseas the medical supplies is pretty well stocked so you can get yourself extra stuff for your IFAK, TCCC bag, etc.

Thank you for the pictures.
As I'm off to college for the year the impression has been put on hold. Hopefully around Christmas I'll be able to get some more parts of it together and some proper pictures up. Things still to do are 1. Make the helmet cover. I finally got a pattern together, but I just never got around to sewing it 2. Sew on velcro to blouse 3. Fill IFAK accordingly 4. Acquire a PRR. Replicas seem to be out of the question as the programming cables dried up. 5. Get 2 more EI SAW pouches 6. Look into the use of Side Sapi plates to add a bit more room to the Woosatch 7. Look at getting a small assault pack 8. Make a replica NVG mount 9. Decide whether to kit out the 249 or not 10. Look at an OTW shirt 11. Bug CPgear to make those replica frag vests The list will most likely grow as I continue to mull over pictures. |

My gearwhore fund has been replenished and I was starting to look at a patrol pack. I really have no idea where to start looking, but just from some window shopping I've come across the following.
*EI A-III Pack in Khaki (Molle or Non Molle) *ATS RAID II Pack in CB *Camelbak Linchpin in CB I am not as knowledgeable as I'd like to be on what is allowed gear wise in the sandbox. I know that how much privately purchased kit you can use is based on your CO, but would any of the above packs be disallowed by some regulation farther up the chain? Secondly, what other packs have been seen/liked over there? Thank you for any info you guys can provide. |

I have the RAID II and love it, can carry a lot in the main bag, and just add on extra pouches if needed. Before I got the RAID II I had a Camelbak Motherlode and used it during work up and tour. Last edited by -Skeletor-; October 25th, 2010 at 22:42.. |

The vest i use as a C9 Gunner in the sandbox, is a TT. Mainly because thats the only thing our CO/RSM would allow us to buy. But, all in all its a cheap solid vest. And in airsoft you wont have 80 pounds of shit in it or hanging off it lol. If you want some pic's pm me and i will be more then happy to e-mail you a fe
