Well, I just got one today, and I must say, im pretty impressed, well built, pretty solid, good feel to it, and thats right out of the box. Speant a couple hours on the gearbox, redid everything, swapped piston for TM, tappet for Guarder, metal bushings, regreased everything.. I must say, the anti reversal is the most annoying one Ive ever experienced, it just hates the hole its in, never sits in it while trying to reasemble...
Got it back together, fires alot smoother and crisper now, battery is way to weak for the spirng they got in this, but good enought for now.. Pulled off the front end, tightened everything up cuz the RIS was a bit finicky, its solid now. Overall, im pleased, for 350 bucks, cant go wrong at all.. BTW, any idea quality or what not of the motor thats in it? seems like a beast of a motor, but im going to try a spare EG 1000 in it.. any preference on it? I know u cant go wrong with an EG 1000 but if this JG motor is good enuf, might as well leave it.

Yeah that antireversal latch is a little whore. I recommend picking a modify antireversal latch with the ering, that should help a little. Which bushings did you use? I had a few fitting issues with systema and deepfire.

Yup. Ugly ass piece of shite stock that it is.
Best way I found was to have the black bars? the thingys, fuck if I know what their called, the things on the sides of the battery that lead down to the bottom. Its best to rotate those closest to the buffer tube, and then give thema good thwack to go down. Honestly though, that issue only lasted about 5 minutes for me, because with in 5 minutes of owning that JG I removed the JG stock and installeda hurricane.

True, well I did my own playing, got pissed off and ripped off the fuse as it was in the way, resoldered the plug, and im going to make some modifications to the inner of that stock.. This is fun being able to tinker and modify this thing as I see fit and not be worried about ruining something overly pricey..

A new hopup and barrel would be the simplest upgrades without having to open the mechbox. Although if you do switch to a 1 piece hopup modifacation too the reciever will be required. As for what brands I will leave the decision and the research up to you.

You must not be from Canada, and if you are Id just like to let you know that evike it a shit company. I cannot comment specifically on all your inquired
items but I will try. Shims? Shims are shims in my opinion. I put systema ones into mine. Metal bushings, sure why not. Just a forewarning, not all brands fit. Currently I have had issues with deepfire and systema. That is not to say that your mechbox is the same as mine. Gears? Whats wrong with the gears in the mechbox now? You can get that anti reversal latch if you want. Although I recommend this one for many reasons. E-ring to prevent the popping out of the latch, and the quick release notch incase your piston locks back, it helps save time instead of opening the mechbox. http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...roducts_id=674 G&P grease set is decent, although I found the cylinder grease a little runny. Sorry no real opinion on the BBs. Heavy weight is better for foliage penetration, just make sure they dont have seems as those may damage your inner barrel. Cylinder set? sure why not, it looks fine. The spring? M130 sure why not, as long as your fps stays with in your field/playing areas limits you can pick whatever spring you like. Honestly, not counting the cost of shipping the grease or the BBs. Your already looking at 170 dollars worth of parts for a gun thats worth about 150 dollars american. I should be one to talk though, I put a 160 stock on a 150 dollar gun. The stock spring on that 416 will get worn in eventually and you will notice a drop of fps anywhere from 20-30fps. If you wish to replace the spring use anything you want, anything over an m120 and you may wish to go along with the gears you choose. Anything above that and you may wish to consider a torque up gear set with a halftooth piston set up. Also Id like to recommend a bearing spring guide. My personal recomendation. Modify v2 spring guide http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...roducts_id=759 Modify bushing or some form 6mm Modify shims http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...roducts_id=880 Modify piston head http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...roducts_id=779 Modify cylinder head http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...roducts_id=775 A modify full tooth piston of some form Modify antireversal latch http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...roducts_id=674 I choose all of one brand because it has been noted that to many mish mash mix of parts can lead to failure quicker. Using all of one brand may help in reducing that. Just want bare bones? Get some shims and new bushings with the modify anti reveral latch and modify v2 spring guide.
