It's worst if you really look and work into buying the details for it.

Yeh, esp when you want to do both the internals and externals and have them all work together!

Hahaha... I just cleaned up one a huge pile of airsoft parts and I found a 9/10ths of a KSC STI Nighthawk 4.3... It's missing the rear sight and spring guide and is in pretty awful shape... But I think I'll assemble and polish this thing to tide me over :P

Its the same Kimber. It seems to be working better now and I'm not sure why. It could have been because a screw holding the frame (that holds the guts) was slightly loose. I thread locked the screw so it wouldn't come loose again. It occasionally spits, and I think that might have to do with valve release button on the mags. I noticed that on the mags that weren't upgraded the valve knocker was knocking too high on the button and ended up slipping, and there were some faint marks on them to show. I still have to tinker more with the mags and see if I can fix that somehow.

I did get different grips though. They're aluminum and feel amazing

Neat. Yeah, I noticed those grips. Looking good - though I dunno if I'd feel comfortable with metallic grips on any of my pistols...

Funny, I was just about to comment on them too.

RE: Metal Grips

You'd think they would slip right out of your hands, but they are scored deep enough that the balance between grip and comfort are perfect. They don't feel coarse by any means. If this makes the grips sound any better, I've purposely made my hands ultra sweaty and then shot a couple mags with these grips. They gripped like rubber grips, but because they don't absorb any shock so I felt like I had more control of the gun. I don't know if this makes sense, but I equate it to a luxury (comfort) car vs. a sports car. You can't feel the road while driving a luxury car, but you can in a sports car.

Now with SV style hammer!

Edit:
Just took a few shots through the chrony. Only 6 shots (will do more comprehensive testing later) with my 6" 6.03 inner barrel. Having issues with feeding with the 6.01 PDI 7"...

Mean was 302 fps. Standard deviation was 4.8fps. So, decent. That was with hop on very high.

Shooting with the 6.01 (of the few proper shots that weren't double feeds I got off), average seemed to be around 328 fps.

This is all with armist 0.20s.
