I think that the direction Brian and his group are taking with aligning themselves with the real steel guys is the way to go. Airsofters in general don't have much of a voice at the higher levels... but align yourself with the folks who do, and it gives you greater power to affect change.

I'm watching the nfld broad cast now. very sensational and makes politicians look like they don't know anything and aren't doing anything. I expect some knee jerk reaction over this,

Just watched it.

I think that Brian did a good job of showing the recreational side of it, stating personal rights. I'm very happy we have someone so credible to be the "face" of airsoft in the media.

Overall, I think the report was pretty balanced. I don't disagree with anything that was said; they were mostly just stating facts.

I have pretty much the same reaction, they did explain that what was shown was recreational - I just wish she talked about the respect we show our 'toys' and the strict rules and discouragement against use in public.

Good to hear. I'll probably have to wait until it's finished airing to watch it online, as I don't have satellite at the moment

Just watched it. I think it was about as "balanced" as anything you can expect from CBC. Could have been a lot worse. At least they showed both the police officer and Brian who suggested more licensing but not banning it.

Unfortunately, when politicians get caught flat-footed by the media, their response is usually quick, to do "something" rather than be seen as doing nothing.

Doing the wrong thing is always better than doing nothing. Hence the knee-jerk reactionism that we all love.

Okay it's on. it's pretty stupid.
Anything far away that is 18 feet away looks like a real pistol anyways. How can you test it like that?
