Thats not that bad. When I had my G&P ordered from Calgary, even though I had it air shipped it was about 80. I remember my G36 from Buyairsoft was like 30 or so. Shipping isn't cheap and its usually the one thing forgotten when someone calculates how much they have to pay.

Jg's Mp5 A4/A5 have a plastic body and a V2 metal gearbox

The V2 metal gearbox should be present in every recent product from JG.

Yeah, that was a turnoff for me too, considering the item I was ordering. I know that actual shipping cost (Xpresspost) MP5 I was looking at should be $20-25 at most. I had my full size CA M15A4 rifle shipped to me from A&A for $30. When I returned the broken Firepower F4 I got from A&A, shipping was $25. To me, having cheap prices for products, then charging high shipping price sort of adds a 'hidden' cost that makes what appeared to be a great deal not so great anymore. Don't get me wrong though. Shootsoft's prices on the guns are still quite reasonable, and even with that extra shipping charge, the total cost is still competitive. But the shock factor of seeing that huge shipping charge is a bit sobering when you're not expecting it.

That being said, I will probably end up buying the JG metal MP5 from shootsoft eventually. I think it was just the shock factor that really made me back out of it on the spot like that. Otherwise, I would have placed my order that day.

Holy shit, massive price-jack on the shipping.

Ordered a L96 a week or two ago (haven't received it yet) and Xpress-post shipping (tracking included) was $10.24 (Obviously it would cost more than this, but I'm not complaining). $40 is definitely unreasonable from QUEBEC to ONTARIO.

I believe the $40 is now a flat fee, which does not change from Quebec to BC. Shipping fees need some revision.

for me shipping the 416 from shootsoft to me was like 10 bucks. I thought that was very very good.

shipping is ridiculously expensive especially for airsoft guns. I remember shipping one of my guns xpresspost and it cost me 40 dollars. I believe 007 and A&A shipping is like 60 tho. I guess i got lucky, i ended up getting it when it was $10 shipping and i got my gun .

Shootsoft Shipping!!!

Yeah,

I bought 2 airguns from Airsoft. Nov 2007 and Jan 2008. Shipping was the same at $25. and that's BC to ON.
I hope shootsoft adjusts the shipping and i'm good to go!

No, shipping costs money, it isn't cheap, and I do take it into consideration for the total price. I figured Usually, it will cost $30 to ship an average full size AEG across the country, and about 20 within Ontario. I'm just not willing to pay $40 to have a smaller item shipped to me from less than 500 km away.

Agreed. From Quebec to Ontario, that's way too much. From BC to Ontario, I'd be a little miffed since it would be a bit high (considering the size and weight of the item being shipped), but would be reluctantly willing to pay it.

And yeah, shipping costs need to be more locale-specific rather than flat rate. Other online stores using OSCommerce (airsoftparts.ca, old A&A site, buyairsoft.ca) have the module that will gets actual shipping costs from Canada Post. LeGros should definitely look into that for his online store.

The second shipping prices are adjusted, I'll be ordering my MP5.

But I'm mad now!!!

Sorry. Just had to post that in there. That comment reminded me so much of Homer when he wanted his gun but there was a waiting period. lol

I believe as of a couple of weeks ago (about the time you would have ordered), he had listed somewhere that due to a flood of orders and low stock, orders would be shipped within 10 days of ordering (or something to that effect). Just PM LeGros and he'll get it squared away.

Hmmm... I don't like the sound of that 20 day thing. I'm going to wait till shootsoft hits a 'steady state' and back on track with the 'under 5 days' thing before ordering.
