Would MP7 magazines fit in an MP5 pouch?
Hello, I would like to know if the average airsoft MP7 magazine would fit into one of these:
Thanks! |

The long ones probably would, the short ones fit in a pistol mag pouch.

I know the GBB ones won't, I'm not sure if AEG MP7 mags fit though. I found I can fit 2 onto 1 M4 mag pouch or 1 into a P90 mag pouch but needs a bit of padding.

depends on just how wide the pouch is...if it's a tighter fitting pouch than the long mags will snag on the way in adn out cus of the protrusion in the middle of the mag. but if the pouch is sloppier than you shouldnt have a problem.

I don't see problem here? Mp7 long mag is almost straight. beside Mp5 mag does seem curve much as Mp7 mag do.

if you look at the middle of an mp7 40 round mag you'll notice the flare at the sides of it where it would mate with the pistol grip. that flare is the hassle in fitting into an mp5 pouch. depending on the pouch it'll snag at the mouth of the pouch. thus the looser fitting the mouth of the pouch is the better for an mp7 40rd mag. if it's really well fitted for a single mag than you'll fight with it on the way in and out.

indeed, 40rd mags will make you curse and scream if you try using it for them.

Don't bother ... use a single M4 pouch ... yeah it will take up more real estate but you will actually be able to get the mag out...

I have run my MP7 mags in a MP5 3fer shingle like that but I have to put them in bullets up which is the opposite of the way I like them. I did a day with my normal rig and M4 pouches and it went well.

I can't comment on the long mags(I don't have any).
I do own the short ones. I found the work nicely in m4 pouches(fits 4), but also would work in a 40mm grenade pouch(fits 3). Just be careful, if you use the grenade pouch, to not lose any out of the bottom! I've just carried the last mag in the pouch while holding the front handle(not for everyone, but I have big mits). |
