Famas reassembly

OK this is driving me nuts. I hae been at it for an hour have not made any head way. I took apart my famas to change the hop up bucking. Now on the reassembly I can't figure out how to get the cocking lever to work properly. The spring slides all the way back into the reciever right by the hop up unit giving the cocking lever about 2 CM of recoil back. Any idea wtf I am missing? There are two screw holes on either side but I can't put a screw through as the barrel is in the way.

If you need pics lemme know I can get them, This is the only thing thats stopping me from putting this stupid thing back together, this and the fact that you move one thing and six other fucking things fly out and fall on the ground... seriously...

Take a photo. I'd have to see it to remember.

alright I hope these help. As you can see the spring does not sit far enough out of the reciever to put any pressure on the cocking lever. so when pulled back it stops before the spring can return it. I can't figure out what is supposed to be the blocker for the other end of the spring to stop it from going that far back.

hmm I think I may have figured it out. gotta love when pieces roll away from you. I found a plastic ring that has a straight piece off the top... I think that is what is supposed to go in the way. Sound right?
