Yes it can use a 2000 Mah battery and anything bigger than that. The Mah rating is basically how much juice your battery can hold (in laymens terms) The higher the number the more of a charge your battery can hold.. Just stick with any 9.6 V. Anything higher you risk damaging your internals.

actually, no.

9.6 1600 probably means that its a 2/3a cell battery.

That means you can use any other battery that uses a 9.6 2/3a cell in the same configuration.

well for example this is a 1600 mah 9.6v battery. (made out of 2/3a cells)

Heres another 9.6v battery, this one is 4200 mah made out of big sub C cells. this one is twice as big as the first one.

It can be any shape, just don't make sure you don't go higher or you will burn your trigger contacts or strip gears/piston teeth

The limitation is physical size and that is determined by your gun and the size of its battery compartment.

If your gun comes with a 9.6v 1400mah, that is likely an 8 cell mini battery. It is unlikely you will be able to use larger size batteries unless you rewire it to the rear or find some other way of holding a larger battery. You could also use lipo batteries.

mAH is battery life
Voltage is strength of spring it can pull and rate of fire
