Gun cases discussion

Gun cases are always advisable as a way of secure storage and transportation. While flexible cases are cheap, they aren't exaxtly the best protection or secure option you have.

A lot of people reccommend the Pelican series, but they seem to be somewhat in the high cost level of cases.

So what do you reccomand? Which one do you use?

I'm especially thinking of any Pelican-like with foam I can cut-out to the shape of the gun, but sure any other hard case suggestion is still valid!

For real and airsoft I use the $25 Hard Case Canadian Tire special. Cheap, simple, and will protect your gun unless you stand on the damn case. Also if it get's dirty, you won't care.

I bought one of the aluminum gun cases once and even though it was REALLY nice, but it was big and cumbersome to pack around to every game.

A friend of mine used an old rectangle guitar case, worked perfectly for his with a little tinkering on the inside.

Personally I don't like the soft cases just in case someone throws something heavy on top of your soft gun while your gun is inside, or if you happen to drop the case....

soft soft bags/cases or duffles, slide a piece of 1/8" MDF and a 1/2" piece of medium density foam. helps keep it's shape and adds protection.

one of my bags is an old baseball bag with a 4 bat compartment/pocket. I slid a sheet of mdf in the bat compartment so that I can put medium sized guns in there. I put goggles, mags and BB's in the main compartment. when the bag's carried, the bottom won't bend.

That's the one! I've seen them on sale LOTS and if you have any Canadian Tire money they can become VERY cheap!

Couple years ago I walked in with enough CT money family and friends gave me (cause they dont want it) to walk out with a $5 gun case!

It's the only hard case you'll need ALTHOUGH measure the sizes first. It will fit an M16 easy enough UNLESS you have a scope on it, then you'll need to take the scope off.

Here is the EXACT same CT Rifle case (the one I got for $5, normally $30) with the very first airsoft gun I bought. Shows you how much room and width there is.

Here is the aluminum rifle case that I bought then sold. Price was between $80-$100, nice but added allot of weight on top of the airsoft gun inside. It was wider and being a rectangle instead of a funky normal rifle case shape it gave allot more room.

I'm actually going to town here in a couple days to pick up a CT rifle case for my Savage Mark II.

It's for an HK416 with 14.5'' barrel and crane stock plus 552 and magnifier... Let's just hope it fits with the magnifier and 552, it would be way better. Hopefully I can store my MEU with it too.

Thanks for your tips, I'll get to the watch for specials!

BTW, I see two slots to put locks on it right? I prefer this as I'm going to be in an appartement...

If you are talking about the CT gun case it has four holes for locks, two in the handle that you can see and one on end end of the gun case.

Personally I prefer Hardigg. I use them for my safes, but I also have one that is a hardcase, with a soft case insert.

I use a Browning case for skeet shotgun... paid 125$ but it really sturdy... not a crack with 5 years of use...

As room for my ak47 and my aks74u.

I got that Mezzi case from Drache with trade and I love it to dead. My girlfriend said that it looks professional than other case that I had before. I'm not sure what she mean by professional but anyway, that case is really good, it's really sturdy, it holds two M4 and a few mags along side with some battery as well. It's kinda of heavy but I actually don't mind at all. I just like the look of that case plus the quality of this case.
