AK 47 molle mag pouches

Looking at getting a molle plate carrier in the near future and trying to find suitable molle AK mag pouches.

Do all AK pouches have the same style lids? The ones I've found on RW and WGC seem to all have lids with sides unlike a typical M4/16 pouch that is just a flap.

Also, do all AK mag pouches fit 3 mags? So a double mag pouch would fit 6 mags. 2 triple pouches would be a little over kill with 18 mags where I'm use to my BHI vest that is 6 M4 pouches x 2 mags. Not only would 18 be heavy but could be a nice arm rest from being deeper. lol

What I'd really prefer is to find an AK mag pouch that fits 2 mags only and has more molle on the front.

For now looking at the Pantec dual mag pouch but more rigid ones.

3 mag M4 pouches will fit 2 ak mags.

Open top pouches with bungies to hold the mags don't work well with AK mags as the curve of the mag causes the bungie to slip off the butt of the mag.

Also , many AK pouches have the sides on the flaps because.. again due to the curve of the mag they can wiggle their way out from under simple flaps.

Stop using M4 pouches for AK mags. It fucking SUCKS! Universal my ass.

I have been running these with my CZ mags for three weeks now and couldn't be happier. They are double singles, but in my experience double AK pouches are hard to work with, and are especially bad if they are "universal". Plus they have MOLLE (not spec but close enough) on the front so you can layer if you really want to carry a "Mag Baby".

They have a simple hook and elastic style closure that is fast and tight enough to keep the mag in when crawling etc, but you can deploy REALLY fast and don't have to worry about stowing any lid flaps.

Drop Zone Tactial Siamese Shingles - (i know, sounds like a disease lol)

i have 4 of these hanging off my rig now ( https://dstactical.com/product_info....roducts_id=281 ) Lets me fit up to 12 m4 mags, 8 ak mags or 8 of my m14 mags on my vest. Great quality and i find them easy to draw from.

Thanks everyone. I'm still deciding on a couple of different carriers and trying to choose what colour to go. TAG plate carrier or the Voodoo Tactical carrier. One shot tactical hasn't been much help and ignored my email. I know they read it too because I pointed out a pricing issue where they priced an item at $109.99 but listed it's regular price at $95.99.

Coachster, please resend the email as we have lost a bunch.

We did change prices lately due to the increased difference in the US exchange rate with new product coming in.

From what you're describing with the prices, the "regular price" wasn't updated on the website, at the same time as the "selling price" was. If it's the same price it will only show one, but if the is a sale it will show regular and selling price.

Thank you Farmboy. I've gone in a different direction on the HSGI 40mm drop leg for the time being. If and when I get 8 more 40mm rounds, I'll think about getting it again.

I understand the price change but it was a little odd that the price was suddenly changed not more than an hour after I sent my email but no reply sent.

The private sale contact I have for a vest is a little slow in getting back to me so I may just be shopping for that in the next few days.
