TM M4A1 or TM M16

hey guys I was just wondering (in your own opinion) which gun would fire more accurately right out of the box (closer spread) the TM M4 or the TM M16. Thanks in advance!

Longer barrel = More Accuracy.
M16 longer barrel than M4 barrel.

m16's usually have full stock. but i think it would be an easy mod to change it to retractable stock

But that would then defeat the purpose of having an M16 as opposed to an M4 since one advantage the M16 has is the capability of having a large battery in the full stock.

It's not that integral an advantage. A lot of people put retractable stocks on M16s these days.

cant you get what 18 inch and 20 inch barrels anyways and just slap on a mre for rails and then you can still throw in a m16 lenth barrel anyways? but out of the box m4 then just put in a tightbore.

Not so trivial a change, unless you use a crane stock or some other form of battery stock.

A standard M4 stock will require wiring to the front. Otherwise, good to go.

That silly rifle is the Canadian Issue Service Rifle known as the C7...

Rewire kits are availiable and pretty much a sinch to rewire to the handguard. Also there are other options like crane stocks, MOD stocks and battery bags.

C7A2 has the collapsable stock, but after seeing a few real ones and a couple of airsoft replicas, I can say I don't care much for the look at all. I tend to prefer function over cosmetics, so I went for the C7A1 look and kept the full stock. I couldn't imaging giving up my large 9.6V 3800 mAh battery...

And besides, I tend to prefer the full stock anyway. It's not like we're getting in and out of cramped armours vehicles or having to adjust the stock for 4" thick body armour in airsoft. The advantages of the collapsible stock over the full stock are far more minimal than they are in the world of real steel.

A2 has collapsable stock.
Ive personally found that the collapsable + crane stocks are MUCH more comfortable than the Fullstock, due to the diff angles you fire in while prone. Many times when you have uneven ground, its much easier to handle the rifle with a collapsable stock.

I kinda think it would look rather silly for an M16 to have a collapsable stock as well, since the full stock looks great on there the way it is. I just wanted to know because I wanted a weapon with a collapsable stock that I could adjust myself. If you can upgrade to a longer barrel on the M4 I'll just do that because it seems like the most simplistic option. Then there comes another question, with a longer barrel you need to swap out the cylinder do you not?

ok so would I be upgrading spring and piston/piston head/ cylinder head as well? I don't think gearing would be too important to upgrade unless you got a better motor or no?
