Arrow Well L96 AWP in Canada

hey guys noob here, just wondering if a person could find a Well L96 AWP sniper rifle in Canada...or if there is a way to get it into Canada. I know some of the restrictions of importing "replica weapons", but not to sure as to why they would seize the airsoft gun since it has an orange tip. I did try to look at some websites, but they are costing an arm and a leg just to get this gun. I'm just trying to find out more info so I can make a more "informed" decision.

Thanks....just out of curiosity, what is the age verification all about....what things do I need to do in order to be age verified? Is there anyone that would be a representative in Saskatoon SK?

Thanks again,

This is a good thing. We usually like people to do research themselves before asking questions that have been answered multiple times on this site, and are in the FAQ section as well.

If you actually intend to play rather than just basement shooting, many people recommend against a sniper rifle for your first gun, especially a Well. They take a lot of time, effort, and money to get shooting to a point where they'll actually have some kind of advantage over a standard assault rifle. Stock, airsoft sniper rifles don't range any further and are only slightly more accurate that normal airsoft guns, with a rate of fire of 1 round every 2 seconds vs. 10 rounds per second. Also, sniping is a very difficult role to play. Most n00bs don't enjoy it and end up getting a bad impression of the game.

Having said that, if you just want the gun to screw around with, a bolt action rifle is a lot of fun.

Take a look at this for a few laughs and to learn something.

That being said, I believe the verifier also takes some basic info about you and sometimes you have a chat (about 15-20 mins). You can ask questions about the sport and about whatever you want to know usually and some of them will gauge you on if you really should get a gun. (eg. you're not some G-Unit-50-Cent-Tupac-Durag-4-Life-E-Thug who wants to up his street cred yo yo yo.).

Also usually you will need to pass a "certification course" to be able to play with a hot gun (sniper rifles) and there's MED's that you have to respect.

The certification course isn't universal. If its a players first game here and they only have a sniper, or a gun that is stupidly hot ie.400fps. they will be turned downed. Its just a safety thing. No one likes getting hit to close.
If there is a noob day those are a great way to get to meet people and learn lots of things sport related.
All the really good guns open up after age verification, so its worth your time.
Lastly welcome, and feel free to poke around.

I have played before, but the thing is I'm better at sniping then at running around the field like a crazy firiing off a thousand rounds (not trying to offend anyone). I don't using an assault rifle everynow and then though neither. I just think I'd be more suited for a sniper rifle, but that's just me

I don't really have a huge expectation of what airsoft is supposed to be mainly because it's different with every group of people that I've played with, it would be nice to eventually get into the real tournaments though

I'd still say get an AEG first. Obvious reasons is that your not at an ROF disadvantage. You'll find yourself to be very limited with a BA or Semi gun, such as no chance of any CQB games.
For a few months all I had was a VSR, it sucked cause I was so very limited with different styled games. Also keep in mind, almost any AEG can be converted into a mean sniper rifle.
