Barrel Stuck in Hop-Up

Yea, I cannot get the barrel of my gun out of the hop-up unit thing. I took the black clip out and have it set to the lowest setting, but it looks like the hop-up rubber part is still inside the barrel and that's why it won't come out. What do I do?

Kay, need more informations.

A hopup rubber is outside of a barrel, not inside. If you take the c-clip off, a barrel should slide right out of a hopup chamber.

Also what gun are you using? Details help.

Sometimes hopup rubbers swell and make getting the barrel and rubber out of the hop up unit a pain, just need to disasemble, then pull the barrel out carefully, turning slightly to help losen it. Go slow and dont over force it out or you will tear your rubber and then you will need a new one.

Working on one of my hopup units as I type this, damn thing being stubborn as well.

Using silicone oil can help too.

The part of the hop-up that actually goes into the barrel (through the hole in the side) is still inside of it even when the hop-up is on the lowest setting so the barrel physically will not twist or pull out at all. For example, I can only get to about 37 seconds into this video before I get stumpted: YouTube - replacing the hopup on an airsoft gun

well you know hop sleeves are what? like 4 bucks?
you could always just rip that thing off there if youre gaving that much trouble and then buy a new/better rubber

It is normal that you see the rubber protruding in the barrel.

The sleeve is made with a bump to need less hop-up adjustment.

Just disassemble the hop-up unit if you can. Then put some super thin silicon oil around the barrel from the "front" side and around the rubber from the "back" side.

Toy with it, but be carefull not to over do it. You can rip the little spline that prevent the sleeve from spinning on the barrel.

If you manage to get the barrrel out, but not the sleeve, work it out with a toothpick of some small pin-like tool. Be carefull not to punch it.

AND

if you rip it, just change it. It does not cost that much. Guarder clear are nice for sub 350 guns. I am using systema black for 400 and Prometheus RED for over 450 fps.
