Do standard helmet covers fit on these helmets?

I am looking to buy a black helmet to serve as variable use with different camo sets by swapping helmet covers. I notice that a lot of helmet covers sold are for PASGT helmets and not other types. Will helmet covers usually fit on different styles of helmet such as this one?

don't put a helmet cover on a pro-tec style helmet

Protec style helmets have a smaller profile than most helmets, so a cover can go on. It's just going to be loose / big fit. You'll have to modify it.

Since the helmet is plastic, why not just paint it?
