See how much Mah the battery has.
What kind of charger do you have? if you have a simple wall charger that for example put out 150 mah an hour, and your battery was 600 mah. It would take 4 hours. I suggest you reread the packaging and take a look at the charger to see if you can find out what kind of output your charger puts out.

Make sure to always fully charge your battery. Partially charging it will shorten its lifespan considerably. And make sure that when you plug it it to charge it that you put some kind of timer to remind you to pull the plug when it's charged. Overcharging can also lead to premature battery failiure, and with the cheap Ni-Cad batteries that come with those shit guns, they could also catch fire or explode if significantly overcharged.

Some battery cells cost several dollars per cell x multiple cells. You're battery probably cost about $5 for the whole thing.
I'm guessing you're not in Canada, because generally you don't get that gun for $80 here. if at all. And $300-$400 would not even come close to getting an AR and a handgun here, even a Norc.

You don't buy airsoft guns because you can't afford real guns. You buy airsoft guns to engage in combat simulation. You can shoot airsoft safely at people, you can't shoot real guns safely at people.

If you're looking for a gun for target practice, then an airsoft gun is actually a pretty bad choice because airsoft guns, even top-of-the-line upgraded guns are not all that accurate. If target practice is what you're doing, then you're better off getting a pellet gun instead, as those are far more accurate and much better suited to target shooting than airsoft.
