Working on improving precision of a Galaxy MP5K

Hello,

I recently bought a barely used Galaxy MP5K (you can pretty much say it's new).

I took it today for it's first CQB game and I loved it.

One thing I realized while adjusting the hop-up and my red dot : approximately 1 out 4-5 BB sometimes curves to the left or the right. At the end of the course it meant a 2-3 feet difference. Since I truly enjoyed playing with this AEG today I would like to work on it's precision.

What are the possible solutions/improvements/fixes for this?

I was thinking of a better barrel (prometheus, systema or twisted tanio koba). Anything else I should check/verify/acquire?

Also, anybody knows if tanio koba makes twisted barrel for the MP5K (110mm)?

Thanks!

maybe you should check on the hopup rubber... because i bought galaxy mp5k modified with 120 guarder spring and longer inner barrel it seems the accuracy still a little bit messed up curving out, so i guess the problem is withing the hopup, im going to change the rubber with prometh, i hope it will improve the accuracy...

Check the hopup rubber. If it needs replacing, go with Guarder clear...lots of people swear by them, and they're cheap and easy to find. Also, pretty much any tightbore barrel will help.

Another thing you may want to consider is compression - make sure you;re not having wild variation in FPS.....a small deviation (+/- 5 fps) is what you;re looking for....anything more than that, and you need to look for air leakage.

If you want to change the hop-up, try the TM hop up(The best one). I think the problem is not the hop up, is the wind.

I was testing indoors

Thanks everyone for all your advices.

One question remains : where to buy a 110mm tanio koba twisted barrel? Does it exists?

Heavier BBs will help if you are only using 0.20g (worst BBs for accuracy right after 0.12g). Try 0.25g, even if you only use it indoors.
