Need advice
Ok, I'll admit it, I'm new to this thing...
I would like to buy a Automatic Electric Gun (M4, to be precise), but there is so much models and so much manufacturer so I was wondering which one should I buy and why. I would like a good one that I can upgrade/replace parts, not one that I'll have to replace in like 3 months for some disfunctionability. Also, my friend would like a Sniper Rifle that looks like the AWP in Counter-Strike and I found this one (Maruzen APS-2 Type 96 (L96 A1) http://www.007airsoft.com/products/p...ages/11021.jpg) but it doesn't have scope so I imagine he will have to buy the scope separately, but which one fits with that rifle? Sorry for being such a n00b, and thank you for your answers. By the way, YES, I read the FAQs Last edited by MaDB0Y; April 21st, 2008 at 13:41.. |

If you want a good, reliable first gun that's all metal, has reinforced internals (for the most part), then look into Classic Army. For the money, you'll get all-metal construction that will last a long time. The guns are quite reliable, and compatible with almost V2 aftermarket parts.
Some will say their pistons and compression parts are problematic, but after 20 000 rounds, I opened mine to upgrade it, and say no signs of wear on any of the so-called "problematic" parts. I still upgraded the main spring (for higher velocity) and all the "problematic" compression components with high quality Systema parts to ensure I would have problem-free operation, but IMO, it wasn't really necessary. Get age-verified and you'll have access to the buy & sell section on this forum. You'll pay a lot less for a good gun here than you will from 007.

for the record MaDBOY, Crunchmeister was the guy i was telling you about who had a bad experience with TM and a great experience with CA.
(for those of you who are just joining in, i spoke with MaDBOY about some ins and outs of airsoft and the necessity of reading the FAQ, as for the Crunch reference, i just mentioned to MaDBOY how it was unfortunate that he (Crunch) had a bad TM from the get go) |

I have the opposite experience as crunchmeister. I've been downright abusive to my guns (TM) and they have outperformed my expectations.

I have to say TM has performed well for me and I've easily shot over 20,000 rounds through my M4, and I'm the second owner. God knows how many rounds it's shot through it's life time. My internals have also been upgraded to 400 fps. I'm not really hard on my rifles when I fire them, because I don't fire often, and if I do it's in short bursts, but they do get a lot of abuse when I'm in the bush running around. However the only experience I've had have been with JG and TM. So I wouldn't know anything about CA, but I have heard good and bad about both TM and CA. In the end it's up to your personal preference.
