G36 stock
Ok, a couple of points.
1) The G36 extendable solid stock...does anyone know of any active retailers that are selling it? I know it's discontinued, but you never know.... 2) The reason I ask is because I'm a tall guy who uses a G36C. The gun feels a bit too short and I want a longer stock. Adjustable would be nice, but I can't help but wonder if a G36K/E stock would fit on the C? I use a TM, if that makes a difference...anyone tried this? The stock on the K is longer, but that's what I'm looking for...so long as I can put it on my gun without duct tape. Any and all help very much appreciated!

Active Canadian retailer? Not so much. WGC has it, though.
All G36 stocks will fit each other. The K/E stock is only longer, it's not shaped any differently otherwise.

I knew it was longer, and I suspected the shape part...but it never hurts to ask and double check before you buy a part :P
thanks!

You have to like the look, but you can always use a M4 stock adapter and a slither stock.
I had a G36K, found the original stock too short. I used a VLTOR stock at 3rd position (out of 6). |

You can always try to make one. Im currently building an SL-8 style stock for my G36C. Its not finished yet but almost, need a couple hours of work. Its a lot of work but so much more satisfying. It can actually hold a 8,4v 1100 mini battery but i want to make it hold a 9,6v. I may be able to finish it this week.

Not at all, go ahead. I'll post picture of it when its finished. But for now just a picture of the unfinished product mounted on my G36C.

my only concern would be the foldability of the stock...I might make the hinge bit out of metal and put a groove into it for the catch....

In fact, i didnt care about the "foldability" when i started this, i never really got any use for it. The few hours of work needed are the sanding part(rounding the edge etc) and correcting a mistake we made at the locking pin area. Currently it's 3-5 mm off to the right so it wont fit in the grip section.

I don't think the SL8 stocks are supposed to fold..
That looks awesome.. If you're committed to keeping it like that.. Some fiberglass would do wonders around there, It'll smooth everything out and tie it together nicely |

Right now, im more concerned about how im gonna paint it... Its flat black like the rest but i have almost no experience in painting. In fact i really need help with that. Previous attempts left me with the strong feeling i should pay someone to do it for me. By the way FNG_13, sorry for threadjacking...

Naerah: That's pretty nifty man. How many hours have you put into it so far? Is it wood? (looks like it). Is it very heavy?

It took 3-4 ours to get to what it is now, still need a 1 to 3 hours more to be completed. Yeah its wood but dont ask wich kind i really dont know. its not really heavy but once installed on the G36 you feel the difference in weight. However i find the overall weight of the gun is more balanced, should help keeping it in a better way with a sling(meaning the mag and grip wont make it flip upside down anymore).
