ParaScope Urban Combat Sight

Quote:
The ParaScope™ Urban Combat Sight was developed by MTC Technologies through the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency to allow the shooter to engage targets from behind a protective barrier with minimal exposure to return fire. It is designed to reduce warfighter vulnerability in active combat situations. ParaScope™ incorporates a unique optical design that allows for crisp natural viewing of the target area from either its side or rear ports without any mirror inversion or distortion. It is a fully ruggedized 1x optical sight that is compatable with a wide variety of weapon sights including 1x tactical scopes, magnified weapon sights, laser designators and iron sights. The ParaScope™ is compatible with any caliber weapon including rifles, shotguns and less lethal weapons (gas guns) fitted with a picatinny rail.

Using the side port capability of ParaScope™, targets may be engaged from the safety of a protective barrier using a variety of conventional and side firing positions. No adjustments need be made when transitioning between firing positions. Soldiers can also engage targets conventionally by sight using two eyes open through the rear port of ParaScope™. ParaScope™delivers a new capability to the urban combat tactical environment for safely identifying and firing upon targets.

Waiting for a replica...(I can hope)

Wonder if the refs will nail you for blind firing though.

Looks like a poor mans corner shot, and techincally you wouldn't be firing blind.

This one looks like the first one that you can look through both normally with the gun shouldered, and also from the side through the mirror, probably without any switches or toggles to deal with either.

I think I still like the Mirror Shot more, just for the built in BUIS.

I suppose it would be cool for real guns and what not. I cant really see it being to amazingly overly useful in airsoft, well somewhat not but entirely.

Its a little late and Im just dozing in and out right now, so its hard for me to formulate my point, but the jist of it is, firing the gun upright it would work fine, but attempting to lay down for fire your AEG on its side wouldnt work so well, or so I think it wouldnt atleast because wouldnt the hopup spin the BB so it wouldnt be accurate when fired sideways. Im sure someone understands what I mean.

i dont have it nor do i know anyone who does, but it seems like itll do the trick. if anyone has it lemme know how well it works! only prob i can see is that it only works on aimpoints...would be pretty spiffy with an eotech!
