My "Eleanor"

Alright, so I finally got my DE UMP back from Manchovie and she has gone from chump, to champ overnight. She's now a certified BEAST!

http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/d...P/100_2864.jpg

Took a stock DE UMP and threw in:
Systema Turbo Motor
Systema Sintered Bushings
Systema Hopup Rubber
Guarder v3 Steel Spring Guide
8.4v 1500mAh Battery (stock was an 8.4v 1050 mAh battery)
Rewired with deans connectors

On the exterior, I have a KA Aimpoint replica and a KA M3 (just realized a day ago that it fits on the rail, so I'll use it for now, but I have a sexier light on the way).

On the way I have a G&G full metal hopup assembly to replace the plastic on in there now, and a Rico Alpha 9 Tactical Light (http://redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/ai...l?prodID=23141) The Rico will look damn sexy on the UMP. Also tracking down some 50rd Standard caps for it. The hicap winding mag can't keep up with the motor, it's too fast! She's chronying in the mid to high 330's VERY consistantly. (ten shots in a row were all between 335 and 340fps) and she's pretty darn accurate with that aimpoint on there once I got it dialed in (2 inch groupings at 100ft).

Will update with new pics when the light comes in, but for now, I love her. I've always thought of the UMP as my Eleanor. The gun I've always wanted but would never have, and now I'm glad to say I own one and she's a beast. She truly is my Eleanor.

I'm actually really pleased with the feel. She's heavy as hell! When I first picked her up, I thought for a second she was metal! Feels damn good to me *shrugs* Maybe I just got a good one.

you should get one of those replica surefire grip/lights that Huang sells. it would look sexier.

Awesome AEG you have there, but I have one major gripe... its the name you gave it. There is only one thing that you could possibly ever own that deserves that name:

Airsoft will never (no matter how much money you spend on kit) be as awesome as a Shelby beast.

I was literally two seconds away from ordering one from Huang, but I got this one used, in a trade with some other things that I need, so I figured why spend more money than I need to. However, if I don't like the look of this one I'll probably sell it and grab one from Huang. I don't know how I'll like the grip. I'm not much for vertical grips on guns. *shrugs*

And Wilson, I agree, it's a sexy car, but if I owned one, I'd sell it for the money. This UMP I'll probably never sell. For me, it's my Eleanor. I apologize, however, if I've offended you with my title.

what brand is the gun? ive never heard of DE before...and which version of the Turbo gearbox did you use? i was under the impression that no systema gearbox would fit in a ump replica...
