D-Boys metal bodies
Hey Guys:
There's a lot of sites around that sell cheap metal bodies from China (D-Boys, A&K, etc...). I was just wondering if you had any experience with them, what's finish like? How well does it fit with Ver2 gearboxes? Any major modifications or dremel work needed to fit? How are they compared to other cheaper metal bodies like G&P? Thanks! |

I believe Dboys is the brand of the metal bodies huang sells here. From what I hear they are good quality, but sometimes a bit of toolwork is required.
Im waiting for teh Sig552 metal body |

There's a thread started already "Chinasoft bodies..." or something like that. Started a week or two ago (but the holidays have flown by...so it might be 3 or 4 ago).
They look ok, finish is ok (certainly for what you can get them for). With a couple that I've seen, filing and sanding was required...little here, little there. You get what you pay for...but it's a pretty good value if you're willing to put in the extra work. |
