Hurricane 553 Loose on G&P body
Hey guys,
I was just wondering if anyone else has a Hurricane 553 replica on a G&P Body? If so, is your site really loose? Any sugestions on how to shim the site, so it doesn't move around on the top rail? Steff Last edited by Danny Cyanide; December 17th, 2007 at 08:52.. |

1 Hour later....
I managed to shim it so that it stays put. I took an old patch and cut shim strips out of it. They are solid enough, yet flexable enough to give a little for a solid fit. I placed one strip on the side across from the release latches, and one strip paralell with the cross bar on the base. It's good and solid now! Steff |

In case that dosent hold any type of strong rubber you can jam in there tightly should always work. This is what many picitany mounted scope manuals suggest as there are a couple versions of railing.
