Madbull Talon Rail?
I really like the look of Madbulls version of the Gemtech Talon Rail system without the integrated Trinity silencer(I have my M4 set up as a 5.56 gun instead of 9mm rendering the markings on the silencer inaccurate).
You can see it here: http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwol...l?prodID=21749 I was looking around on Madbulls website and found that you can use it as a standalone rail system without the barrel extension and trinity silencer, but they recommended that you use a raised optic mount to help secure the rail to the receiver...take a look here: http://www.madbullairsoft.com/Englis...products_id=52 I don't particularly like the look of the scope riser and was wondering if anyone has any experience with a setup like this. I just want to make sure that it will be sturdy enough (without the scope riser for support) to stay on the receiver in a skirmish while holding an agx(40mm launcher), lights, laser, and foregrip. I would also like to know how the rails work...it doesnt look like you can have rails on all 6 sides at once since there may not be enough room for the mounts between the rails. any help would be great guys...thanks! |

Thats good to know...I only have a few of their 203 shells and they are rock solid. I love how I can fill um up with co2 and shower other 2 man teams in our forest skirmishes.

I have, and I am mediocritly happy. The plastic hand guards on it are cheap... but other than that, very well constructed and sturdy. Pic from some crap sale thread awhile ago:
There are better deals available and this unit really does not stand out like I hoped it would. Functional but not exceptional. -Daes . |

Daes have you tried using it without the integrated silencer? Id much rather use my own barrel and sights but wanted to make sure that the rail system is sturdy enough to accomadate all of my lights/lasers/etc

By itself, you will need a RS or G&P barrel nut. I picked up one for cheap from Redwolf years ago:
http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwol...l?prodID=11032 It has a very firm hold and solid RAS, no need for a rail jointer. But again, for the price of the package, better RAS's are out there for cheaper (that or jump on the CASV wagon). -Daes |
