P-90 Highcap Mags.
I did a bit of searching, and I found a few old topics about these things. It seems to be a mixed opinion/luck thing. Anyway, I have three low-caps, and I'm thinking about trying a hi-cap. Opinions about the highcap?

Dont buy highcaps the p90 ones suck and the fact that they are always makeing that sound of bbs shaking around is just anoying.
Stick with the low caps. Besides its fun to reload a lot! |

p90 hi-caps dont shake what so ever. You pull a spring back open a door and fill your bb's then wind the end and the whole reservoir is held under tension pushing towards an angle above the loading nozzle. Only problem i have ever had with them is every 20 rounds You can hear what sounds like gears grinding but its just the slider pushing more bb's forward

Don't people complain a lot about needing to lube them, or angle them, or whatever? It seems that only some mags have issues, others are perfectly fine. It's a 70 dollar gambling game.

My p90 high cap when i had it was lubed up. And very generously. But I did that when I first got it and never did I have a problem with it. The design doesn't allow the gun to rattle and I never experienced grinding.

Lube with the oil used to clean the guns, or lube with something else?

my P90 high Cap works awesomely and sometimes it stops but I just have to smack it and I can get maybe 1/3 of the mag through 1 wind

So they work...most of the time. And lube is advisable.

Ive heard many people had feeding problems with the P90 Highcap. I dont personally have any experience with them however.

Im an avid p90 user. Iv got 3 hicaps and a whack of lows. I prefer the lows by far but not due to problems with the winding. I give out high caps for lender guns. Trick is to lube up the mechanism (really light silicone oil, same as for your gbb).
You can also use the lego mod. I think there is a thread on this elsewhere. It basically you take one of the one peg slanted one and place it in the gap near the big gear on the other side of where the rounds feed into the mechanism. And fix in place with glue. It keeps rounds feeding consistently. Finally the best way to keep them feeding is when you slap a new mag in point the gun slightly up so that rounds feed into the mechanism clean so it wont unwind all at once. That way you can get through a whole 300round mag in one wind ( or one trigger pull ). Just remember to use the loading flap, the mechanism will break if someone uses a loading tube or loader. |
