Gas question?

outher than Green(propane) Red And Duster could anouther gas be used iE nitrogen in a gbb say if I fill a Propane tank with nitrogen should it work?
also I see valves that come with metal balls for the mag to improve gasification do these work?
If so are they anything special or just standard ball bearings?

I don't think you want to bring a propane tank to the field in a pack and pull that out to refill you gbb everytime haha.

The Nine Ball valves are pretty useless. They don't give much of a velocity boost and the ball bearings... as far as I can tell, don't do anything for propane. They might help stabilize duster though, but not many of us use that at all.

Most of us bring little coleman tanks with addapters to games. We usually keep them in our respawn/reload area. Some people even carry refill gas systems on there persons during play. These items usually come disguised as a simulated grenade or something of the sorts.

seeing as he's only 15 (soon to be 16), there's likely a reason he hasn't been out and seen an actual game.

That depends on your gun, it's upgrades, and availability.

I would stick with 'duster' or propane. Check the additives if you want to use duster. Propane is simpler because you can get it almost anywhere.

I do use propane but I was looking for something non flamable and non stinky.:lol:

Duster is quite flammable, so is propane, green gas, red gas, black gas. Nitrogen is not.
The smell is there for your safety (to ID a leak), pure propane is odourless.

If the smell bothers you, there's nothing much to do except change gun types or spend more cash to go to CO2.

What do you mean spend more cash are there upgrades to support Co2 or just the more exspensive gas and or guns that use it?

The guns are more expensive, generally, and the CO2 powerlets cost a LOT more per shot/magazine than propane tanks.

Its hard to say if the gas carrier grenade will fit in that pouch. The couple I have seen and handled in my day are maybe only about 1/4 of an inch thicker than a Redbull can and essentially about the same height if only maybe a 1/4 of an inch longer as well.

They come in all shapes and sizes. But be advised there have been comments about the small amount of gas they carry, or its also been noted that these items are sometimes prone to leak, but with good maintenance and love, just like taking care of a GBB mag, you should be alright.
