Guarder High Performance Valve problem
I recently bought a guarder high performance valve and after installing it, my gun has developed a problem. The first round fires fine, no noticeable reduction in power. But there doesn't seem to be enough gas to fully cycle the slide; i'm not sure if this condition means a light strike. i've tried a guarder valve installed mag and a stock mag back to back and the stock mag fires just fine so that rules out the gun. I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary while installing and i made sure that the valve opening was facing up. I've currently re-installed the stock valve and the mag works fine.
The gun is a WA s&w 1911sc (scw ver.3)- stock; using 23rd single stack mags So guys what could be wrong, i'm suspecting some sort of firing pin - valve compatibility issue. |

That's very likely the symptom of a weak strike.
Get a stronger recoil spring to try. |
