Is G&P a well known airsoft gun brand?
I was looking at G&P used guns and was wondering if they were well known or if they were just a cheaper knockoff brand like some others, their guns are hard to find on websites. Thanks.

Just a heads up, since you are not age verified and therefore not able to browse the classifieds on this site, if you are looking at the classifieds from an american or internationnal site, stop.
Importing airsoft has some dire real world consequences, and you might end up having your gun confiscated by customs. Get age verified by a local rep, then browse ASC's classifieds. |

G&P has the best affordable metal bodies, but if your looking to buy it and use it as a stock gun, don't. Simply put, its a "veteran airsofter's" weapon: you buy it for the body and replace all the internals. The gears and gearbox shell are great, everything else is kind of wanting. Plus they're cheap enough to buy new

oh, oh i know, CRAP! g&p is ok to use stock (and even then it will only usually last 1 season), but to do anything to it, you need to do everything to it. they have major internal issues. if you can get it for a decent price (like 300-400) get it and then throw in a systema mechbox and youll have a sweet rifle. but aside from that, there is a couple other brands i would look at instead.

regrease, reshim and swap the nozzle and hop rubber and you have one of the best value (with proper trades) aeg's you can get. service it early and you won't need to change anything for a loooong time.

To answer the topic question. You dont call G&P "some knock off brand". High end I say but has crappy internal set up otherwise they have nice M4 set up externally. Great manufacturer of other Aeg parts and accessories. |

My son has a G&P M16A3 and an M4 Marine. Both guns have been upgraded with 6.03 barrels and Systema hop-up units. The M4 shoots 370 with a .25 and the M16 380 with a .25. Both guns are very reliable. The M4 is good to 150+ feet, the M16 over 200 (trees not withstanding). He uses a 9.6v battery in the M4 and the ROF is quite high.
Great guns.

my experience is they dont add springs infront of their hopup units, so using the stock G&P hopup makes your shots totally unpredictable
