Batterie Question

I Have An M4A1 Jingg Gongg Has A Mini Batt 8.4v 1100mAh
How do i find out the discharge rate 10 amps or 30?

i have modified the upper hand guard to hold the batterie and was thinling of upgrading to a

#2708NC ATTACK PACK: 9.6v NiMH 2700mah Airsoft Nun-Chuck Battery
Connector: mini Tamiya (Marui)
Cell: Sanyo HRAUX 2700mah A
Pack Size (LxWxH): 4.00"x 1.32"x .66" (each chuck)
Discharge rate: 10amps
Or\
#E3016NC ATTACK PACK: 9.6v NiMH 3000mah Airsoft Nun-Chuck Battery
Connector: mini Tamiya (Marui)
Cell: ELITE 1500MAH 2/3 A
Pack Size (LxWxH): 4.62"x 1.32"x .66" (each chuck)
Discharge rate: 30amps

just dont want to hurt anything does the discharge rate affect anything besides the time the batt will last eg:more amps =less shots i also know that if i upgrade the spring later the 30 amps will be needed to cycle the gears

Thanks in advance for any help.

if u had 30 amps running through your wires it would burn out your 16GA wires. Its rated for about 8-10amps if i remember correctly. You can actually wire your entire AEG with 22GA wire because its rating is at 5amps.

Those batteries should be discharged at what ever they are rated for. 2700mah = 2.7amps, 1500mah = 1.5 amps. Are you saying you have a battery charger and discharger in one? If not, just put a small light bulb to it or a resistor to deplete the energy if its a NiCAD. NiMH you dont need to because it doesnt have cell memory

Actually a NiMH will develop a memory over time.It may takes a very long time but it will develop a memory. You really don't need to discharge a NiMH battery anyway.I'd suggest to run the battery as low as you can before charging it again.

if its a NIMH don't bother discharging it, the memory effect takes so long to build up its not worth it, if it's NiCd then listen to what these guys are talking about lol
I've charged my battery over 50 times without it being empty and it still holds exactly 3000Mah

Look for NPT. $20 is a little on the low side and will probably be just a peak fast charger or a slow trickle charger. I wouldn't pay more that $15 for a trickle charger - they have no intelligence. Similarly a cheap peak charger can kill a battery as well.

At the last game I was at I sold a NiMH 1200mah 8.4 stick battery and the guy went and charged it on a peak charger and blew it up. He came back asking why the battery had blown up like a balloon and when I looked at his peak charger and the settings on it, I showed him exactly why.

Spend the extra money on an intelligent charger (ie: NPT and delta cut off circuit as a MINIMUM) but no more than $75CAD in my opinion - beyond that you're getting frills you really don't need for airsoft.
