Armie's reposrting new TM AEG

Swiped from Arnie's. Hopefully this means TM AK74 lows are on the way!

"It looks like Marui have an AK74 coming, which they’ve called the “MN” variant. Presumeably this stands for “Modernized” as it’s based on the 1991 version. The shot was sent in by Keita M (Cheers!), and a quick dig turned up this thread on Jum213a’s blog on blog.goo.ne.jp.

A direct translation of the text posted with it gives the following er “information”:

With Tokyo [maruibusu] where power has entered into the railroad model of new entry with Shizuoka hobby show the development schedule of AK74MN was notiified quietly with the panel.

89 type time which is displayed because tune stock system probably will be precedes, being quick, it probably is about, sale on end of year?

The neck it is about twist to stop wanting in the choice, MN even with AK74 it is the delightful news where the new AK variation joins to [marui], but for a long time have no other choice but to the AK47 series."

Its about time Marui updated their AK line. I wonder if its going to be full metal like the type 89.

But when will someone make an AKM?

Cheers,
Alex

Eh, they are going to have to do something spectacular to compete with the other 3 AK-74Mesque guns out right now. Full metal, correct (and folding!) stock, correct trades, etc.

So basically, everything VFC is doing, only cheaper.

I'm more excited at the prospect of TM AK-74 lowcaps being made

so are they going to pick any particular special forces unit to use as a marketing ploy? or are they just going to make one up this time?

Hey, when your special forces are led by a guy with an implanted arm that takes over his mind and uses Colt SAA's... I think you can make up an AK or two! :P

This looks sweet, although I'd still consider the new T89 Folding Stock Carbine before this... And the Five-seveN...

One thing I've noticed that's odd about the picture is that the AK's sling is on the opposite side I've seen on almost every AK...

It isn't odd. That's the way it is on modern folding stock AKs.

I don't think that's even a picture of the airsoft gun, I think that's just the real deal.
