KSC G23F no full auto

Hi!

I am quite new to airsoft so please forgive my luck of knowledge. I've been searching for the solution before posting this message but did not succeed.

In short, my stock G23F shoots semi-auto only in both modes after it has been ran on Green Gas.

Detailed. I've just received my brand new stock KSC G23F by post. I have gassed it up with Green Gas (I know by now that I shouldn't have done that). I shot it a couple of times on semi-auto with no problems and then switched it to full auto but it was still shooting semi, no full-auto.

I have examined the slide assembly and have noticed an excessive wear of a tiny part that moves inside when firing mode selector switch (part 255) is turned (is it part 256?).

There are no airsoft gunsmiths anywhere near the place I stay so I have to rely on your help here.

Is that a typical problem? Is this indeed because I've used a Green Gas?

Will replacing the part 256 solve the problem or shall I look elsewhere?

Thanks in advance for any help!
Max

Tis is more likly a result of swiching from semi/safe/auto without pulling the slide back and letting it lock first.
This combined with the greengas is probably your problem.
If you fill out your profile including your location im sure somone will be able to help you.

good luck - alex

I'm having a completely different problem, but in the same vein (sorry to thread jack, skyguard).

I have a KSC G18C with a KWA metal slide and barrel. Recently, my full auto stopped working because the selector would be jarred toward the middle disassembly position by the blowback force. It would fire once or twice, then I would have to press the selector back down 2-3 degrees and force the slide forwards into battery to get it working again. Having read about it a fair amount, I performed the fix of slightly deepening the hole (drilled) where the selector BB clicks into place in the full auto setting. This seemed to correct the functionality of the selector switch (judging by the motion of the parts when I wiggled the selector), but it's a different story when I try to fire it.

Semi works fine. In auto, pulling the trigger causes a fair sized eruption of gas, but the blowback chamber gets jammed open about a centimeter outside of its housing, with the tip stuck on a double feed which lies directly on the feed ramp. The slide does not blowback far enough to reset the hammer before it jams; it appears to jam on the back stroke and not the return stroke. I have to manually release the blowback chamber by pushing it back in.

I used to have this problem on full auto when the gun was relatively new, but it only occurred during long streams on auto, now it occurs every shot. It was solved easily enough with lube back then, but that doesn't seem to work now. I'm really at a loss as to what is going on.

*it dry fires fine on full auto, full, clean cycle. It only jams when BBs are loaded. could it be a feed lip problem? Or maybe the nub on the bottom of the blowback chamber that pushes the BBs in is worn... It doesn't look like it. It still lines up flush with the tip of the nozzle.

Better than trying to fix a G18 thatr was new and had a metal slide installed that refuses to fire anything else than full auto. Full auto is natural same as an AEG, but semi is a tricky thing to fix/make happen.

Just got a KSC G23F, and I am having same problem as tunabreath and hybrid_liter, the full auto stopped working because the selector would be jarred toward the middle disassembly position by the blowback force. It would fire once or twice. Did you actually manage to solve this tunabreath?
